NXT 2.0 sees small increase against NBA playoffs, #32 on cable

NXT 2.0 presented its final show before next Tuesday’s Spring Breakin’ special as the show saw a minor uptick from the previous week.

The April 26th edition of the show averaged 577,000 viewers and approximately 177,000 (0.14) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily

For the second week in a row, NXT 2.0 went against the NBA playoffs leading to the program finishing #32 among cable originals while seeing an eight percent increase in its key demo and a one percent increase among its overall viewership.

It was NXT’s second-lowest viewership since March 1st.

Female viewership among those 18-49 fell by 16 percent while women 18-34 dropped by half from last week’s program. On the other end, male viewership in the 18-49 demo was up 30 percent. The 35-54 demo increased 40 percent overall with a big jump among males in that demo.

The show went against the playoff game between Minnesota and Memphis that averaged 2,898,000 viewers and 1.03 in 18-49, finishing second on cable behind the late game – both games aired on TNT.

In Canada, NXT did not air live on Sportsnet 360 and was available on its streaming service. Sportsnet 360 aired a replay at Midnight Eastern with the show averaging approximately 32,000 viewers.

USA Network aired an episode of WWE Evil immediately after NXT 2.0 focusing on Hulk Hogan that averaged 263,000 viewers and 0.06 in 18-49 and #93 among cable originals.
