Champion Carnival 2022 winner crowned at Korakuen Hall

All Japan Pro Wrestling wrapped up its Champion Carnival on Wednesday and has crowned its 2022 winner.

In front of 986 fans at Korakuen Hall, Yuma Aoyagi became this year’s Champion Carnival winner by defeating Jake Lee in 30 minutes and 24 seconds.

Aoyagi won the B Block last week after going to a 30-minute time limit draw with current Triple Crown holder Kento Miyahara and with both earning one point, Aoyagi won the block with seven points. Aoyagi’s one loss in the tournament was to Takuya Nomura of Big Japan.

Lee, a former Triple Crown holder, won the A Block with eight points with his only loss of the round-robin portion coming against Shotaro Ashino.

Aoyagi will challenge Miyahara for the Triple Crown on Sunday, May 15th in Sapporo.
