FTR makes a case for themselves to be in the conversation for greatest tag team of all-time.

The duo of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, collectively known as FTR, are the reigning AAA and Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions. Harwood and Wheeler are also WWE’s first Tag Team Triple Crown Champions in company history, winning the Raw, NXT and SmackDown Tag belts.

FTR believes they have made a case to be considered in the ‘greatest tag team of all-time’ conversation. They touched on the topic during their virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest and here’s what they had to say:

Harwood: Well, no one does come close to us for sure [Harwood joked]. But I disagree [that no tag team comes close to FTR]. I think there are some great, talented tag teams in the world and I think that we should absolutely be in the discussion for greatest tag team of all. I mean how could we not when you’re the only tag team to hold the WWE NXT, WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown, AEW, AAA, Ring of Honor and did I say AEW World Tag Team Champions? And we also were voted number one tag team in PWI’s magazine, the first-ever tag team to do that.

Wheeler: Double-digit classic matches.

Harwood: 2016 tag team of the year, 2016 match of the year. So I don’t know why we shouldn’t be in the discussion for greatest tag team of all-time.

Dax and Cash went one-on-one in an Owen Hart Foundation tournament qualifier and Dax came out on top. He is now scheduled to take on Adam Cole on tonight’s episode of Dynamite.

FTR shared that wrestlers messaged them after their match, noting that Dax and Cash made them shed tears with what they did in the ring. Cash added that TJ Wilson sent them a message as well to congratulate them.

Harwood: I was saying earlier how many texts we got about wrestlers telling us how they cried watching us [wrestle in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament qualifier] so that’s awesome. Thank you.

Wheeler: Speaking of T.J. [Wilson], he was the one that sent us a text. It was really cool because obviously… that history.

Jeff Cobb said he’d be open to defending the IWGP Tag Titles against Harwood and Wheeler which drew a response from Dax.
