Starrcast convention returning in July over SummerSlam weekend

Conrad Thompson is bringing Starrcade back with the convention scheduled for SummerSlam weekend in Nashville, Tennessee.

The news was revealed by Sports Illustrated with the fifth incarnation of Starrcade taking place July 29-31 at the Nashville Fairgrounds, which is the former home of TNA Wrestling.

Thompson told the outlet that names and panel chats will be revealed beginning next week:

You’re going to hear from some names we haven’t heard from in quite a long while. And there will be some others who we may be hearing from for the last time. We’ll start all of those announcements next week.

The event is being promoted by Thompson and Thuzio, which is part of Triller with the latter purchasing FITE TV over the past year.

The first Starrcast event was held over Labor Day weekend in September 2018 during the weekend of ‘All In’ with three subsequent versions in 2019 in the host city of select AEW pay-per-view events prior to the pandemic.
