René Duprée further comments on the occasion when his clothes and shoes were damaged on an overseas tour.

In the past, current two-time GHC Tag Team Champion René Duprée has shared the story of when his personal belongings were put into a shower during an overseas tour. Duprée said talents went so far as urinating and defecating on said items.

He touched on that again on the latest episode of his Café De René podcast. Duprée said the shoes he lost were $500 and once he discovered those items, he claims he was told by a ‘high up official’ in WWE to not ‘wear n-word shoes’.

Well let me tell you a story about that. Those shoes that I had [that were thrown in the shower] were $500 Belvederes, and I was told by a high up official — not gonna name names but, he said, ‘Don’t wear n-word shoes.’ There’s no racism in that place? The f*ck out of here.

Duprée exited WWE in 2007. He recently made his return to Pro Wrestling NOAH and became a two-time GHC Tag Champion with El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
