‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey qualified for the X Division Title Ultimate X match at Slammiversary on June 19th. He defeated Laredo Kid to secure his spot in the match. The reigning X Division Champion Ace Austin sent in a video and addressed Bailey. Ace is currently competing in NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament.

The main event saw The Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe) defeat Violent By Design’s Joe Doering and Deaner to retain the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles. Post-match, Slammiversary opponents Eric Young and IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander met face-to-face and The Briscoes helped Alexander clear the ring.

Matt Cardona was not physically present on the 5/19 IMPACT on AXS but a video of him and Chelsea Green on their honeymoon aired. Cardona said he is not giving Rich Swann a shot at the Digital Media Title.

For the first time since January of 2017, Mia Yim competed on IMPACT Wrestling TV. She got the pin on Savannah Evans in a six-woman tag that saw Yim team with Jordynne Grace and AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Taya Valkyrie to take on Evans, Deonna Purrazzo and IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Tasha Steelz.

Masha Slamovich scored her ninth consecutive win and post-match, she was confronted by her next opponent, Havok. That match along with the following bouts are taking place next week:

  • Chris Sabin vs. Frankie Kazarian
  • Ultimate X Qualifying Match: Trey Miguel vs. Alex Shelley
  • Masha Slamovich vs. Havok
  • Jordynne Grace vs. Chelsea Green

The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) got a win over Mike Bennett and Matt Taven. The conclusion of the match saw Bennett accidentally spear Maria Kanellis-Bennett. Anderson followed up by hitting Bennett with a ‘Gun Stun’ to secure the win for him and Gallows.

Bhupinder Gujjar approached Raj Singh and Mahabali Shera and it was unveiled that Gujjar has W. Morrissey in his corner. Shera looked at both Gujjar and Morrissey and said “next week”.
