Talents of All Elite Wrestling will be featured on season five of the ‘Carpool Karaoke’ series on Apple TV. In one car is Ruby Soho, Powerhouse Hobbs and MJF and in another car is CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Christian Cage and Britt Baker.

To promote AEW’s upcoming shows and events along with the Apple TV series, Christian Cage was interviewed by Jim Varsallone. Cage shared that one of the ‘Carpool Karaoke’ showrunners is Eric Pankowski, former WWE Senior Vice President of Creative and Development.

They reconnected and Eric expressed interested in having AEW represented on the show and Christian brought that to the attention of those in the company.

I’m friends with one of the guys in charge of the show. A guy named Eric Pankowski who used to be a writer for WWE back in the day and he and I had gotten in touch and he was interested in having us on the show and having AEW represented on the show which I thought was pretty cool so I brought it to the attention of AEW and the rest is history. It went from there.

Cage is aligned on-screen with AEW World Tag Team Champions Jungle Boy and Luchsaurus. He expressed that the three of them often communicate outside of the workplace and their relationship is not one that only exists within the parameters of an AEW event.

He thinks Jungle Boy has potential to become one of the faces of AEW and heaped praise onto Luchasaurus, adding that sky’s the limit for him as well.

Yeah, they’re great [Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus]. My guys, yeah. I think Jungle Boy’s got a huge future ahead of him, which I was really excited to get a chance to be partnered with them and to kind of be a mentor for them and guide them ultimately to where they’re at now which is the tag team championships and you know, we really are a team. We are. We don’t just see each other at the arena and then be like, ‘All right, see you next week.’ We talk a lot during the week and we’ve bounced ideas back and forth and really created a great bond and friendship with both of them. So, that just makes it more special to what I’m doing now and I can’t wait to see where Jungle Boy goes in the future because I do think he has a chance to be a face of the company going forward and Luchasaurus, same thing. The talent this guy has for a guy his size, the way he can move. I mean the sky’s the limit for him as well.

On this week’s Dynamite, Jungle Boy will be part of a three-way with Swerve Strickland and FTW Champion Ricky Starks. At Double or Nothing, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus are defending the AEW Tag Titles against the duos of Hobbs and Starks along with Swerve and Keith Lee.
