Jake Atlas arrested in Florida on 5/23.

On May 23rd in Orlando, Florida, Jake Atlas was arrested for domestic assault on his partner of several years. PWInsider shared information from the police report and noted that officers responded to a domestic violence call at at the home of Atlas, real name Kenny Marquez.

The report notes that Atlas was out drinking the night before and called his partner to pick him up. When his partner arrived, Atlas insisted that his partner stay instead of driving him home. The victim at hand told officers that Atlas wanted to him to go to another friend’s home, but Atlas was upset his partner was ‘showing more attention’ to her than he was to Atlas which sparked an argument.

This led to Atlas becoming physically aggressive and charging at the victim. Another witness stepped in to prevent the situation from further escalating. The witness convinced Atlas to come to their home so Atlas could ‘sleep it off’ while intoxicated.

The victim left the apartment and Atlas followed and yelled at said victim while he walked away. Atlas went after the victim again but this time, the altercation resulted in the victim having a scratch on his left forearm and his tank top being torn.

Atlas later returned to his apartment that he and the victim shared but refused to leave and the authorities were called. The responding officer noted in the report that when asked to give his recount of what occurred, Atlas only spoke negatively of the victim. The officer determined Atlas to be the aggressor and placed him under arrest.

The same day he was arrested, Atlas signed a no-contact order and will have no communication and must stay 500 feet away from the victim. He was released from jail on 5/23 and is scheduled to appear in court on June 28th.

Atlas was signed to All Elite Wrestling in January and suffered a torn ACL the day after his signing was announced.
