CM Punk & FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. Max Caster & Gunn Club (Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) (w/ Billy Gunn & Anthony Bowens)

Max Caster freestyle had a diss on Amber Heard, said FTR is riding CM Punk’s coattails, and called Bret Hart trash, Austin & Colten called this city Sacramento & San Diego before Bowens. Dax Harwood and Austin Gunn start the match. The crowd chants for ‘Ass Boys’ as Austin stays in control until Harwood knocks him down with an elbow and a chop before tagging in Cash Wheeler who goes for a pin getting a two. Gunn Club keeps Wheeler in their corner before Caster tags in and all three corner Wheeler who teases tagging in CM Punk who eventually comes in and starts working on Caster’s arm. Caster takes control and works on Punk in the corner before he fights back with a boot and a crossbody from the ropes. Wheeler hits a powerslam to Caster off the middle rope that Harwood gets a two from. Austin tags in but Harwood fights him, Colten, and Caster off. Austin takes control before tagging in Colten as the Gunn Club double team on Harwood. Billy Gunn on the outside takes a cheap shot on Harwood as well. Harwood is able to fight them all off but is unable to make the hot tag as Punk gets pulled off the apron as they go to picture-in-picture.

When we come back, Harwood fights off and makes the tag to Punk who slips on his way in. Punk comes back and hits a flying elbow on Austin, but Billy Gunn gets on the apron to distract Punk. Punk goes and powerbombs Austin into Billy before hitting the GTS as FTR hits the Big Rig and Harwood gets the pin on Austin.

Winners: CM Punk & FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) by pinfall at 11:49

Hiroshi Tanahashi Answers The Challenge

CM Punk gets on the mic after and says he has never done drugs in his life but he imagines this is what it feels like. There is still a lot of work for him to do and he knows he has to get better, and that’s what this championship is about. Punk says they can call him what they want, either positive or negative, but they got to call him the champ. Harwood says those things Punk hasn’t done, he has done, and it does feel that good and being champion is what matters to him most and if you’re from a different company or the same company it doesn’t matter. Punk says ‘Forbidden Door, I know you’re back there, show me who you got’. Out comes Hiroshi Tanahashi to answer the challenge.

MJF Speaks

MJF walks out and as he’s halfway down the ramp tells them to cut off his music as he makes his way into the ring. MJF says he’s in a lot of pain after what happened on Sunday but all these people want to do is hear him talk. MJF says he’ll talk, but it’s Max Friedman talking and talking about a lot of important executives who are there to watch his product, and would be a shame if something bad happened and he wouldn’t want to embarrass him. He mentions how Tony Khan has been wanting to sit down and hash things out but it’s too little, too late. When this company was started it was All Friends Wrestling and everybody was handed a ticket except him and he had to create moment after moment and he still gets no respect. Nobody is on his level and everything he touches turns to gold and there is nothing he can’t do. Every time he comes out he’s expected to hit grand slams and he does that on a weekly basis. Everybody else there is great, but he’s perfect because he’s the only guy that’s capable of carrying this company on his back as he’s done for months. It’s funny that he hears boos and clapping, but that’s interesting where those people were when everybody called him a piece of shit this weekend. The boys in the back want his spot, they can have it because he doesn’t want to be here anymore. He says these people here aren’t fans, they are uneducated marks and are on their phones tweeting out their opinions like they are worth a damn, but they don’t know shit. MJF talks about how people pretend he sucked in the ring for a long time because he doesn’t pretend to watch New Japan and dump people in their heads and unlike everybody else he doesn’t have to do a bunch of bullshit.

He is a generational talent and people take him for granted, especially the ‘big man in the back’, and here’s something you can’t take for granted or want you to know. The second biggest minute-for-minute draw in this company is him and if you don’t believe him ask ‘Stat Boy’ Tony in the back but don’t ask him to reach in his pockets for him. Make sure he hoards the money to give to all those ex-WWE guys he brings in. He asks if he would be treated better if he was an ex-WWE guy and the only position Khan should be in is behind the barricade. He doesn’t want to wait until 2024, he wants Tony to fire him and starts cursing before they cut off his mic and they go to commercial.

Johnny Elite vs. Miro

We get a promo from Miro talking to God saying he’s been waiting a long time but he will return to help his fellow man and those good deeds will bring him back to the Kingdom of Heaven. His neck of sand is fixed but his heart is broken. Miro comes out to accept Johnny’s challenge. Right away Miro clotheslines Johnny down and starts stomping and punching away as the crowd is fully behind him. Miro grabs Johnny off the ropes and suplexes him down as they go picture-in-picture.

When we come back Miro catches Johnny and spikes him down. Johnny is able to duck Miro’s pump kick and hit his own roundhouse kick. Johnny comes back with a springboard kick and hits a standing shooting star press for a one count. Johnny goes to the top rope but Miro moves out of the way and hits the pump kick before calling for Game Over. Miro puts it on and stretches back until Johnny submits.

Winner: Miro by submission at 6:07

Jericho Appreciation Society Addresses Anarchy

They all come out sans Daniel Garcia. Chris Jericho right away tells them to shut off the music as Angelo Parker says they dominated Anarchy in the Arena and tells the ‘AEW Galaxy, appreciate us’. Matt Menard asks if they ordered the pay-per-view because they are the princes of pain and nobody does it better. Jericho talks about all the violence they went through as the crowd chants for Eddie Kingston. Jericho describes Kingston trying to light him on fire and asks what kind of man burns another man. Jericho talks about Bryan Danielson and how he and Jake Hager choked him out and he lost the match and isn’t here tonight. And that’s the same thing Daniel Garcia will do to Jon Moxley in the main event tonight. He says how Sports Entertainers always win as Eddie Kingston and William Regal make their way out. Kingston comes out and says he hasn’t seen or talked to the rest of his teammates before Regal announces ‘blood and guts’. Jericho says he won’t get it as they all go to attack Kingston. As Jericho is alone in the ring, Ortiz comes from behind and attacks Jericho before cutting some of Jericho’s hair off with scissors. Jericho starts yelling that his hair is worth more than his existence and says if they want Blood & Guts, they got it. Jericho says if he wants it, he wants Jericho vs. Ortiz in a hair vs. hair match and Ortiz agrees.

We see footage from after Double or Nothing, where Samoa Joe is talking about his injured shoulder but gets attacked by Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh.

reDRagon (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish), Hikuleo & Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (w/ Brandon Cutler) vs. Matt Hardy, Darby Allin, Christian Cage & Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus)

Adam Cole joined commentary for this match. Jeff Hardy came out with Matt before heading to the back. Jungle Boy and Kyle O’Reilly start the match. Bobby Fish quickly gets tagged in as does Christian Cage as him and Jungle hit a double hip toss and then one on Nick Jackson. Christian and Matt Hardy have a bit of a staredown before Christian tags in Matt as they take down Fish. Cage stays in control hitting a spinning DDT on Matt Jackson for a two count. Cage goes to the top rope but Fish tries to stop him before Allin attacks him and Jungle Boy hurricanrana Fish off the apron. As Cage dives onto Matt Jackson everybody else runs in the ring and starts brawling including Allin diving to the outside and Jurassic Express moonsaulting on the opposite side. Nick Jackson takes Cage down with a superkick before diving to the outside as they go to picture-in-picture.

When we come back, Cage takes out both Jacksons before tagging in Luchasaurus. Lucha splashes everybody in the corner before hitting a double clothesline on Nick Jackson and O’Reilly. Lucha stays in control and hits a chokeslam and moonsault before Hikuleo breaks it up and finally gets tagged in. The big men go at it and take each other down with a double clothesline before Allin and O’Reilly tag in. Fish tries to get in between but Allin hits both him and O’Reilly with Coffin Splashes before hitting a stunner on O’Reilly and knocks Hikuleo to the outside where tries a Coffin Drop but Hikuleo catches him as reDRagon hit Chasing the Dragon on the outside. Matt Hardy attacks the Young Bucks before going after O’Reilly and Fish with headbutts in all four corners. Matt tries that to Hikuleo, but it doesn’t work. Cage and Matt double team Hikuleo hitting a Twist of Fate and clotheslining him to the outside where Cage spears him off the apron. The Young Bucks hit double superkicks to Matt and Luchasaurus, before hitting one on Jungle Boy. They go for the BTE Trigger on Jungle Boy but Matt breaks it up. They end up hitting the Meltzer Driver on Jungle Boy as Matt Jackson gets the pin as reDRagon takes out Matt Hardy with the High Low.

Winners: The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson), reDRagon (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) & Hikuleo by pinfall at 11:57

Matt Hardy tries to help Jungle Boy up after, but Cage pushes Matt off and helps him instead.

Swerve In Our Glory

We go to Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee who are backstage with Lexy Nair and an entourage where Swerve gets presented with a nice jacket. Lee says whether it’s tag or singles, they will get gold and everybody will swerve in their glory.

Athena Wants Jade

Tony Schiavone introduces Athena and officially welcomes her to AEW. Athena says the top-tier competition is here, especially one dominant TBS Champion in Jade Cargill. Athena says let’s keep it one hundred and all streaks are made to be broken and she will break hers. Before she can continue, Jade Cargill tells Tony to ‘cut the shit’ as she comes out with Stokely Hathaway, Red Velvet & Kiera Hogan. Hathaway says what a shame with Athena to debut and interrupt a queen as Jade says not today to a title shot. Kiera gets in Athena’s face as Anna Jay and Kris Statlander join in and they all go face to face. Hathaway calls for security to come out and break them all apart.

Wardlow vs. JD Drake

Wardlow comes out from the back without security and music at first but it starts playing as he makes his entrance. Right away he takes Drake down with chops and a spinebuster before pulling down his straps. Wardlow hits a powerbomb before going for one more and the pin.

Winner: Wardlow by pinfall at 1:13

Tony Schiavone gets in the ring after and starts saying how Wardlow is All Elite. Mark Sterling interrupts with security and tells one of them to give him a document. The guy hands Wardlow a document that Sterling says he is serving him a lawsuit from the security who he’s been beating weekly and he will see him in court. As the security guard goes to leave, Wardlow attacks him and hits him with a powerbomb, and rips up the paper.

SCU Friday

Lexy Nair is backstage with Scorpio Sky and says this Friday he will defend the TNT Championship against Dante Martin. Dan Lambert says if Martin does everything right he could be just as good as Sky. Sky calls his title ‘genie’ and tells Martin to enjoy his California vacation because Friday he will get a beat down. Martin cuts in and says he is better and on Rampage, he will prove it.

Dr. Britt Baker DMD & Jamie Hayter (w/ Rebel) vs. Toni Storm & Ruby Soho

Ruby has to hold Storm back as she starts the match with Britt Baker. As Hayter distracts Storm, Baker takes advantage. Storm turns it quickly, before Baker bails to the outside and grabs her Owen Hart Foundation belt to flaunt it. Storm tags in Soho as they double team on Baker and Soho gets a two count. Hayter tags in and kicks Soho on the apron as Baker hits her with a twisting neckbreaker onto the floor as they go picture-in-picture.

When we come back, Soho reverses Baker into a backslide for a two count before hitting a Saito Suplex. Storm and Hayter both tag in as Storm hits a German Suplex and hip attack in the corner followed by a swinging DDT that sends Hayter to the outside. Hayter catches her and hits a DDT off the apron before Soho takes Hayter out with a cross body from the top rope. Baker sends Storm and Hayter both in the ring where Hayter hits a sliding knee strike for a two. Storm reverses Hayter off before tagging in Soho who misses off the top rope and walks into a superkick from Baker. All four go back and forth before Hayter hits a back breaker on Soho and tags in Baker. Soho hits Soho with the No Future Kick, but Baker kicks out and puts on the Lockjaw before they go back and forth with roll-up attempts. Baker hits a swinging neckbreaker before some miscommunication off the apron where Soho hits Destination Unknown for the pin on Baker.

Winners: Ruby Soho & Toni Storm by pinfall at 9:37

Daniel Garcia vs. Jon Moxley

Chris Jericho is on commentary as Daniel Garcia and his black Kangol comes out. William Regal joins shortly after and starts bickering back and forth with Jericho. They show Macaulay Culkin & Vince Vaughn in the crowd before announcing that Blood & Guts will be happening in Detroit’s Dynamite. They battle back and forth for the first couple of minutes before spilling to the outside as Moxley is already busted open. Garcia right away tosses Moxley into the steel steps as they go picture-in-picture.

When we come back, Garcia hits a back body drop off the ropes to a very bloody Moxley. They head to the outside as Moxley violently drops Garcia onto the steel steps. They head back inside where they trade elbows and submissions until Moxley grabs the ropes. Excalibur tries to plug the matches for Friday saying just Young Bucks vs. Lucha Bros. but Jericho cuts him off before he can continue telling him ‘who cares about Friday, talk about now’. They go back and forth with Garcia hitting a piledriver for a two. Garcia puts on a Sharpshooter, which Moxley breaks out of as they trade forearms and both fall down and head to the outside where they end up spilling on top of the table. Chris Jericho runs to the ring to try and distract Moxley but Eddie Kingston runs out for the save as Moxley hits the Paradigm Shift and the Bulldog Choke for the submission win.
