Although Matt Cardona lost the IMPACT Digital Media Title to Rich Swann at The Wrestling Revolver’s 5/28 show, Cardona held onto the belt and on the 6/9 IMPACT on AXS, he gifted the title to Brian Myers because he is currently sidelined with a torn bicep.

Rhino was not present on this week’s program following an attack from Honor No More. Heath was interviewed backstage and told Gia Miller that Rhino needs to undergo surgery.
During the Steve Maclin versus PCO match, there was a point in the bout when Maclin kicked PCO’s shoulder into the ring steps. PCO took his shirt off and it looked like his shoulder was out of place.

Former two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion Matt Morgan appeared on tonight’s show. He was being interviewed in the backstage area before being confronted by Honor No More’s Vincent. Morgan would later state that he does not like Honor No More’s chances against the IMPACT Originals at Slammiversary.
Ahead of their Tag Team Title match, The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) and the champions, The Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe) brawled on The Briscoes’ farm. Mike ‘Papa’ Briscoe was involved in the segment as well.
