For the first time since 2020, Thunder Rosa is going to compete for TJPW.

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling is gearing up for their ‘SUMMER SUN PRINCESS’ show on July 9th and the latest addition to the lineup is former Princess of Princess Champion Miyu Yamashita taking on AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa.

This is going to be the first time that Rosa has wrestled for Tokyo Joshi Pro since January 2020. In her most recent match for the promotion, she defeated Maki Itoh to become the International Princess Champion but had to relinquish the belt as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yamashita made her All Elite Wrestling debut at a Dark: Elevation taping earlier this month.

In addition to that, it was previously announced that Willow Nightingale is scheduled to make her TJPW debut at SUMMER SUN PRINCESS and in her debut, she’ll be going one-on-one with Miu Watanabe.

Nightingale was featured on the 6/17 episode of AEW Rampage when she challenged Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship. Ahead of Thunder Rosa’s TJPW return, she’ll be facing Toni Storm at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
