The newest member of the Blackpool Combat Club gets his first win in AEW.
On the lead up to AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, it was promoted that due to Bryan Danielson being sidelined with an injury, the newest member of the Blackpool Combat Club would be debuting at the pay-per-view and taking on Zack Sabre Jr. That mystery talent turned out to be Claudio Castagnoli, the former ‘Cesaro’.
Claudio picked up a win over Sabre Jr. to get his first win in All Elite Wrestling.

Claudio’s contract with WWE expired this past February. He had been with the company since 2011.
He is also scheduled for this coming Wednesday’s Dynamite as he’ll be teaming up with Eddie Kingston, Santana, Ortiz, Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta in Blood & Guts to take on The Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara).
