Next week’s episode of NXT 2.0 is the Great American Bash edition of the weekly program. The match card has been rounded out and among the newest additions to the card is a clash of Diamond Mine as The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) defend their NXT Tag Team Titles against Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp. This match was made official after a back and forth disagreement between the two parties that stemmed from Strong and The Creeds losing to Joe Gacy and The Dyads in a six-man tag.

As Trick Williams and North American Champion Carmelo Hayes were doing a backstage segment, Grayson Waller approached them and asked Hayes to sign some merchandise and 8x10s. One of the papers that Hayes ended up signing was a contract for a North American Title defense against Waller at Great American Bash.

In the opening match, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. With that victory, they are now headed to Great American Bash to challenge Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles. Below is the full lineup for the 7/5 show:

  • NXT Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Cameron Grimes
  • NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships: Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) (c) vs. Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade
  • NXT North American Championship: Carmelo Hayes (c) (w/ Trick Williams) vs. Grayson Waller
  • Trick Williams vs. Wes Lee
  • NXT Tag Team Championships: The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) (c) vs. Roderick Strong & Damon Kemp
  • Wendy Choo vs. Tiffany Stratton

Troy ‘Two Dimes’ Donovan was released from WWE due to a ‘policy issue’. He had been featured on the last two episodes of NXT 2.0 as those shows were taped. On tonight’s show, Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo threw Donovan’s belongings in the river. D’Angelo said Donovan tried to come for his spot.

There was a singles match between the returning Nikkita Lyons and NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose. That match resulted in a disqualification due to Gigi and Jacy getting involved.

Newly crowned NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jenson appeared and they were confronted by former champions Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elliot Prince).
