Tessa Blanchard is being advertised for an independent show in Texas, which would mark her first match in nearly two years.

Hurricane Pro Wrestling has announced Blanchard for its card on Saturday, July 16th.

Blanchard last wrestled in September 2020 for Warrior Wrestling and was attached to WOW (Women of Wrestling) but it was reported by Fightful earlier this year that Blanchard was no longer figured into the group’s plans.

Blanchard had become one of the main stars for IMPACT Wrestling, which culminated with Blanchard winning the IMPACT Championship in January 2020 at the Hard to Kill pay-per-view.

That same weekend, multiple figures within the industry came forward with allegations of Blanchard being verbally abusive and bullying. This followed an initial tweet by Blanchard who wrote about women supporting each other in the industry.

Blanchard was also accused of spitting at wrestler La Rosa Negra/Black Rose and calling her the “n-word” with Allysin Kay also bringing up the alleged incident. Blanchard has denied the accusation.

Blanchard was let go by IMPACT shortly before her contract was set to expire in 2020 and the IMPACT Championship was vacated.
