Mila Moore looks back on her time in WWE and discusses her run on the independents so far.
This past April, Mila Moore, formerly known as ‘Kellie Morga’ was one of ten talents released from WWE. She was offered a contract at the 2021 Las Vegas tryouts but was not able to make her WWE in-ring debut.
Moore is now competing on the independents and following a Coastal Championship Wrestling show, she was interviewed by Jim Varsallone.
She talked about the transition from the WWE system to being on the indies and shared that while she was with the company, she was supposed to be in a tag team with Sofia Cromwell, who’s currently aligned with Von Wagner and Mr. Stone on NXT 2.0.
It was hard [trying to come up with a ring entrance, ring attire etc. now that I’m on the independents], because when I was at the [WWE] P.C., I was originally supposed to be in a tag team with Sofia Cromwell. So we kind of — she really designed our gear. That’s what she’s good at and she — we came up with gear because I had old gear that looked similar so I got very similar gear and we actually have matching gear now. So she hasn’t debuted yet but I’m like, let me get use out of this gear before she completely uses it [Moore laughed]. But yeah, so we have someone that’s great that makes our gear but it was hard coming up with everything, coming up with who you are, what are you, how do I show the fans who I am and what I want them to know when I walk out, you know? And being different, standing out is a huge thing.
Moore stated that she is beginning to find herself as a wrestler. When she first started taking independent dates, she was timid and added that when she was at the Performance Center, it was much of the same as she was trying to figure out who she is.
I am [starting to get comfortable on indie shows]. I think when I started, I was very timid. Even when I was in the P.C., I felt like I was just trying to be someone. Well it was hard but I should have just been more open but now after, I think that kind of gave me some light under me to be like, just do what you want. No one’s going to say anything. You’ll figure it out. So I’m just trying to have fun now. That’s my goal.
