WWE Raw topped all of cable on Monday night as the show saw an increase across the board from last week’s 4th of July episode.

The July 11th edition of the show from San Antonio averaged 1,735,000 viewers and approximately 578,000 (0.44) in the 18-49 demographic according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

Overall viewership improved by 11 percent and the 18-48 audience grew by 19 percent from last week. There was a substantial jump of 25 percent among males 18-49, and a 19 percent rise in adults 18-34.

Last week was an exceptionally lower figure due to the U.S. holiday where television viewership is typically down, although Raw was still tops among cable originals last week.

Monday’s episode averaged 1,723,000 viewers and 0.43 in 18-49 for the first hour, which featured the advertised appearance by Brock Lesnar to begin the show and promote his match against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.

In the second hour, the show grew to 1,798,000 viewers and 0.46 in the key demo and included an 11 percent increase among adults 50+, which started low in the opening hour. It was the lowest opening hour for adults 50+ since May 30th and dragged down the overall viewership figure. From hour one to hour three, the 50+ demo grew by 8.5 percent.

In hour three, the show averaged 1,684,000 viewers and 0.44 in the 18-49 demo.

In Canada, Raw finishes #1 among sports programming with 187,200 viewers and 80,900 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. They did not air against a Toronto Blue Jays game and beat out the Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays, a CONCACAF women’s championship soccer game, and coverage of the Calgary Stampede for the top spots among sports programs.
