A new GHC Heavyweight Champion was crowned today in the headlining match at NOAH’s Destination event in Tokyo.

An estimated 3,215 fans were in attendance at Budokan Nippon as Kenoh defeated Satoshi Kojima to claim the top title in the promotion. It was a failed first title defense for Kojima, who won the title at the CyberFight Festival last month.

Kenoh won the match in just under half an hour with a moonsault double-knee attack to pin Kojima and become a two-time GHC Heavyweight Champion, having last held the title in 2017.

New GHC Tag Team Champions were guaranteed after the titles were vacated when Michael Elgin was unable to attend the event. His former partner, Masa Kitamiya, teamed with Yoshiki Inamura to take on Hideki Suzuki and Timothy Thatcher for the belts. Suzuki and Thatcher came out on top in just over 20 minutes via referee stoppage, when Suzuki placed Inamura in a sleeper hold.

Timothy Thatcher’s first title reign for NOAH comes just weeks after joining the promotion in June.
