The reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion reacts to the new changes in WWE.

This Saturday, WWE is presenting their 35th annual SummerSlam event. On the card, the SmackDown Women’s Title is going to be defended as champion Liv Morgan puts her title on the line against Ronda Rousey.

As ‘The Mirror’ outlet were prepping to do their interview with Morgan, news became public that Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque is taking on the role as creative lead for WWE. Here was Morgan’s immediate reaction:

We’re excited. We’re in great hands.

Last week, Vince McMahon resigned from his role as Chairman and CEO of WWE amidst the hush money/sexual misconduct allegations being made against him.

Morgan said the news of McMahon’s exit was a shock and felt sudden, but she’s excited to work with new co-CEOs Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan. She said Stephanie was born into this business so she’s great for the role.

We were all shocked. And it felt sudden. But we all owe so much to Vince. So if he felt like it was time, then it was time. We’re also excited to be working with Stephanie and Nick [Khan]. Stephanie was born into this business, so there’s literally no one better for the job than her.

We’re all so excited and we’re just ready to go to work. We’re all just ready to take it to the next level.

Morgan versus Rousey is one of nine matches on the SummerSlam card and those bouts are listed as followed:
