Suruga’s upcoming trip to Thailand has been cancelled as a result.

Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling made the announcement that Mei Suruga tested positive for COVID-19. She is asymptomatic, but has entered quarantine.

Mei was scheduled to head to Thailand but that trip has been cancelled. Gatoh Move does not have any further updates on Mei but they’re looking forward to something coming up in August.

Suruga Mei has been diagnosed positive for the coronavirus. She is asymptomatic, but will be placed in quarantine. As a result, Mei’s trip to Thailand will be cancelled. We apologize to all those who were looking forward to the card and so on. We will not be able to provide you with any updates from Mei for a while, but we hope to see you again in August.

Mei regularly appeared for AEW on the Dark and Dark: Elevation shows. Back in early 2021, Suruga competed in the first round of the AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator tournament that was ultimately won by Ryu Mizunami.
