Matthew Rehwoldt has announced that he will no longer take bookings as a wrestler and wants to concentrate on broadcasting.

Rehwoldt, who wrestled as Aiden English during his time with WWE, is currently a color commentator for IMPACT Wrestling, although he has also recently wrestled for the promotion, including a match in May against Rich Swann.

The 34-year-old made the announcement in a tweet in which he said:

I will no longer be taking bookings to wrestle going forward. I’ve always been most at home with a mic in front of me and am in love with the broadcast side of the biz. I’m not sure I feel I belong in the ring anymore and this year has taught me that.

He added that he loves what he is currently doing and is technically still a free agent.

Rehwoldt began his tenure with WWE in 2012 with NXT, where he won the Tag Team titles as part of The Vaudevillains. He was called up to the main roster in April 2016 and was released from the company in April 2020.
