POST NEWS UPDATE: Ric Flair was “very happy” with his last match

** In an interview with Lucha Libre Online, Flair said that he was “very happy” with his last match. Flair said (transcription courtesy of Fightful):

“I needed to give it one more shot. I feel like I didn’t go out the right way, and to have the relationship now that I do with Andrade, with Charlotte, to have a son-in-law like him to be a tag team partner, for him to tag with me and have the whole family there and his family, who I’ve gotten to know well, it was big for all of them. It was especially big for me because my entire family was there and the only person to get an opportunity to do that twice. Once in 2008 with Shawn Michaels and now with my son-in-law in Nashville, it was big.”

On Saturday, less than a week after the match, Ric Flair took part in a physical angle while cornering his son-in-law Andrade at the WWC 49th Anniversary show in Puerto Rico. During the match between Andrade and Carlito, Carlos Colon entered the arena and he and Flair exchanged some worked punches.

Card details are not yet known but Part 2 will take place on Saturday, September 3rd, at the Grand Sports Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The series of shows were agreed upon as part of a lawsuit settlement to end an arrangement between GCW and indie streamer IWTV.

** Brent Tate, who with his brother Brandon forms ‘The Boys’, has announced that the pair have officially signed a contract with Ring of Honor. He added: “Thank you @TonyKhan for the opportunity and keeping us motivated!”

The brothers currently hold the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles with Dalton Castle.

** Sean “X-Pac” Waltman had plenty of praise for crossover star Logan Paul when speaking to TMZ Sports. Waltman said:

He’s a natural, man, huge future. A lot of people can be great athletes like him, but he has, like, an aptitude for this, man. His timing is really good. He grasps the psychology of a match. I got nothing but praise for that guy. He could be, like, WWE Champion material at some point.

Waltman also noted that he used to “not be a big man of that guy”, in reference to Paul’s highly controversial 2018 video filmed at Aokigahara forest in Japan.

** Rob Van Dam is to be inducted into the 2300 Arena Hardcore Hall of Fame on December 17th in Philadelphia, according to multiple sources, including Dave Meltzer.

** Fitness model and cosplayer Aurora Rose caused a stir online with an uncannily accurate portrayal of Chyna.
