Konosuke Takeshita is not interested in going to WWE right now with hopes of returning to AEW later this year.

Takeshita just wrapped up a four-month excursion in the U.S., which was highlighted by several significant matches on AEW programming against Hangman Page, Jon Moxley, and Claudio Castagnoli.

Takeshita spoke with the Cultaholic site about his plans for the rest of the year and recent speculation about whether WWE would be interested in him:

“To be honest, now I’m not interested in WWE. My next goal is more fights in AEW I hope. So I have to go to back to Japan in August and September. Maybe, not decided yet, I hope I go back to America in October. Then if I stay in the US I can come to the UK more times. From Japan to the UK is so far but US to UK is maybe seven hours. It’s possible.”

The 27-year-old wrestled for PROGRESS Wrestling over the weekend, winning matches against Leon Slater and Dean Allmark over two nights.

He returns to DDT for its annual Peter Pan event this weekend at Ota Ward City Gymnasium.
