Sheamus will receive the next Intercontinental title match after winning Friday’s fatal five-way match.

Sheamus was victorious in a match that included Ricochet, Happy Corbin, Madcap Moss, and Sami Zayn. The match went over twenty-two minutes with a heated crowd at Montreal’s Bell Center, that was solidly behind Zayn.

After Zayn was taken out of the match teasing a shoulder injury, he returned to a giant reception. After landing the Helluva kick onto Ricochet, Corbin yanked him out of the ring and ran his injured shoulder into the post. Sheamus won the match after hitting Corbin with the Brogue kick.

Sheamus will receive a shot at the Intercontinental championship at ‘Clash at the Castle’ when he faces Gunther.

The event takes place at Principality Stadium in Wales on Saturday, September 3rd.

Sheamus has never won the Intercontinental title.

Here is the updated card for Clash at the Castle:
*Undisputed Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (champion) vs. Drew McIntyre
*SmackDown Women’s Championship: Liv Morgan (champion) vs. Shayna Baszler
*Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY vs. Bianca Belair, Asuka & Liv Morgan
*Seth Rollins vs. Riddle
*Intercontinental Championship: Gunther (champion) vs. Sheamus
