Punk made his AEW debut on the second episode of AEW Rampage on August 20, 2021, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Punk’s debut in AEW led to the news of his first match, which would take place two weeks later at All Out against Darby Allin.

Over the past year, Punk has become the top star in the company and won the AEW championship this past May at Double or Nothing when he defeated Hangman Page.

On the following episode of Dynamite, Punk suffered an injury that took him out of action from June until his return last week.

Punk will be wrestling Jon Moxley this Wednesday to determine the undisputed AEW champion on Dynamite from Cleveland, Ohio.
