NJPW announces three title matches for ‘Burning Spirit’ in Kobe

New Japan Pro Wrestling has listed three title matches for its next major card on September 25th in Kobe.

The promotion will launch its Burning Spirit tour on September 2nd with shows throughout the month and leading up to a return in Kobe on Sunday, September 25th.

The card is set to be headlined by Will Ospreay defending the IWGP United States Championship against David Finlay. It’s a rematch from the G1 Climax where Finlay pinned Ospreay and was responsible for one of Ospreay’s three round-robin defeats.

Karl Anderson will defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Hiroshi Tanahashi after Tanahashi pinned Anderson during a tag match at the G1 Finals card this past Thursday.

The third title match featured TJP & Francesco Akira defending the IWGP junior heavyweight tag titles against Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato.

The card will stream at 3 a.m. ET on September 25th with the full card below:
*IWGP U.S. Championship: Will Ospreay (champion) vs. David Finlay
*NEVER Openweight Championship: Karl Anderson (champion) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi
