NXT 2.0 notes: InDex reunites & Lumis gets ‘arrested’, Legado Del Fantasma, trios matches

Dexter Lumis returns to NXT 2.0 for Indi Hartwell, Santos Escobar picks up Legado Del Fantasma, Tyler Bate in action, two trios bouts on 8/30

Following Indi Hartwell’s loss to Blair Davenport, she spoke to the crowd in attendance about feeling that she’s stuck in the same position she was in months ago. Appearing from underneath the ring while Hartwell was talking was Dexter Lumis. The duo collectively known as ‘InDex’ reunited and Lumis carried her away to the backstage area.

He proceeded to hand Hartwell a letter before exiting the Performance Center and allowing himself to be ‘detained’ by police officers. On the 8/22 Monday Night Raw, Lumis kidnapped The Miz.

After falling in defeat to Tony D’Angelo at ‘Heatwave’, Santos Escobar had to leave NXT 2.0 and the remaining members of Legado Del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde, Elektra Lopez & Cruz Del Toro) stayed employed to D’Angelo.

After Wilde and Del Toro’s loss to The Dyad (Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid), Santos Escobar caught up with Legado and asked them if they truly thought he was going to leave without them.

There was an NXT UK Tag Team Title match that saw Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs defend against Gallus’ Mark Coffey and Wolfgang. The match was thrown out when Lash Legend and Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) ambushed Briggs, Jensen and Fallon Henley.

Immediately after that, Gallus was ambushed by Diamond Mine in retaliation for Gallus’ attack on the group. As a result of how that match/segment ended, on the 8/30 show, Diamond Mine (Julius Creed, Brutus Creed & Damon Kemp) are taking on Gallus (Joe Coffey, Wolfgang & Mark Coffey). There is going to be another six-person tag as Pretty Deadly team with Lash Legend to face Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen.

The NXT UK crossover continued when Charlie Dempsey appeared in a Chase U. segment. He got too physical with one of the group members and was confronted by Bodhi Hayward.

In the main event, Wendy Choo bested Tiffany Stratton in a ‘Lights Out’ match.

The reigning NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate was in action and he scored a win over Von Wagner. Bate is scheduled for Worlds Collide in September where he’ll meet NXT Champion Bron Breakker in a title unification match.

Adding to the match card for next week is a singles match between Apollo Crews and Grayson Waller.
