House of Glory – High Intensity

August 28th, 2022

Terminal 5 in New York City, NY

The show was packed tonight, in what was presented as their biggest event to date and out of their usual venue at the NYC Arena in Queens, NY.

01: 20 Person Matt Travis Memorial Battle Royal

Violette won at 16:15, last eliminating Smiley. After the match, Violette cut a promo saying with this victory she will go on to challenge Natalia Markova for the HOG Women’s Championship.

02: Rochie Roach & Carlos “La Sombra” Ramirez vs. HOGPD (Det. James & Joey Silver) (w/ Scarlett Meidan) vs. Cash Flow Inc. (Ken Broadway & Encore)

Cash Flow Inc. won at 13:58 with Broadway pinning James with a bridged German Suplex.

03: Bandido vs. Low Ki

Low Ki pinned Bandido at 8:53 after hitting the Ki Krusher. Bandido was announced as the replacement for Karrion (Killer) Kross.

04: HOG Six-Way Cruiserweight Championship: KC Navarro (c) vs. Mantequilla vs. Nolo Kitano vs. Grim Reefer vs. Buddy Matthews vs. Brian XL (w/ Amanda Serrano)

Mantequilla pinned Navarro at 14:45 to become NEW HOG Six-Way Cruiserweight Champion. This was supposed to be Navarro vs. Mante one-on-one, but Navarro said he would only defend it in a six-way. Matthews got a huge reaction as he wasn’t advertised for a match. Brian XL made his return in his first match since 2017 and came out with professional boxer Amanda Serrano. Matthews eliminated Reefer. Matthews and BXL both got disqualified for using a chair and putting their hands on the referee. Mante rolled up Kitano to eliminate him. The finish came with Navarro unmasking Mante on the top rope, but this didn’t phase Mante as he hit a top rope choke slam followed by the Code Red for the pin.

05: HOG Heavyweight Champion Tournament Finals: Jacob Fatu vs. Brody King

This match quickly went to the outside where they used chairs and ended it in a double disqualification. Malakai Black and Amazing Red who had a match scheduled for later came out and made it a tag team match, House of Glory vs House Black with no talk of the championship.

06: Amazing Red & Jacob Fatu vs House of Black (Malakai Black & Brody King)

Red and Fatu won by disqualification at 12:36 after Buddy Matthews ran out and attacked them. Low Ki and Brian XL came out to save Red when House of Black surrounded him. Low Ki challenged House of Black to fight House of Glory at a future date. After the match, the crowd chanted “Where’s the title?”

07: HOG Crown Jewel Championship: Charles Mason (c) (w/ Carlos Ramirez) vs. Joey Janela

Mason got the pin at 15:26 after driving Janela onto a seated chair with an Air Raid Crash, to retain the title.

08: HOG Tag Team Championship: The Briscoe Brothers vs. The Mane Event vs. Private Party

The Briscoes won by pinfall at 10:57, to retain. This was an open challenge from the Briscoes, as Max Caster rapped Mane Event out, followed by Private Party. Both are unannounced surprises.

09: Eddie Kingston vs. Naomichi Marufuji

Kingston got the pin at 7:41 after hitting two Urakens. This was presented as a dream match with it being Marufuji’s first match in New York in 15 years. This match and the final half of the show felt a bit rushed and were done before 10 pm. So it’s possible there was a curfew time.
