Kaun is ready for what’s ahead for The Embassy.
During the Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor ‘Zero Hour’ pre-show, it was revealed that Prince Nana ‘purchased’ Tully Blanchard Enterprises, which included Brian Cage, Kaun, Toa Liona and Jonathan Gresham.
The group was rebranded as ‘The Embassy’ and they went on to win their scheduled six-man tag on the pre-show. Kaun expressed how excited he is to further work with Nana and be part of ‘The Embassy’ while on “Da” Podcast.
He recounted his first interaction with Nana taking place a year or two ago when Nana reached out to him through social media to send a positive message.
Aw man, meeting Prince Nana, I was like, this is — I’m so ready, I’m so ready. Even Tully [Blanchard], Tully was awesome. I got to train with him a little bit while I was in San Antonio. But I remember, Prince Nana actually hit me up like a year or two ago and he was like, ‘Hey man, I really love what you’re doing.’ Like, who’s this dude? So I looked him up, because I wasn’t really familiar with the old ROH… so I looked him up and I always try to find my African-born or African-American managers just because my dad’s from Cameroon so I try to find that connection with people. He hit me up and just to meet him in person, I was like, man, I feel like this is meant to be bro. I’m f*cking excited. I learned about the crown jewel, the family he’s got in Ghana… I’m f*cking excited. This is gonna be great.
Following Death Before Dishonor, it was reported that Jonathan Gresham requested his release from AEW/ROH. He lost the ROH World Championship to Claudio Castagnoli in the show opener.
