MJF revealed as ‘The Joker’ at All Out, confronts new AEW World Champion CM Punk

After being away from All Elite Wrestling since June, MJF has returned and he has a shot at the World Championship

MJF is back in AEW.

Headlining the 2022 AEW All Out pay-per-view was Jon Moxley defending the AEW World Championship against CM Punk. In their recent match in Cleveland to determine an undisputed champion, Moxley defeated Punk in quick fashion.

In his hometown of Chicago at All Out, Punk picked up the win over Moxley to become a two-time AEW World Champion. As Punk was celebrating, the lights in the arena went out and a voice message from Tony Khan played over the arena. Khan was on the phone and was telling someone on the other end that he did not appreciate this individual not showing up for the fans but if this person was willing to show up at All Out and compete in the Casino Ladder match, he’d let bygones be bygones.

That individual was revealed to be MJF, who was ‘The Joker’ in the Casino Battle Royal. MJF was cheered in Chicago and he verbally expressed to Punk that he’s coming after the world title.

MJF has not been present on AEW programming since June. He had a promo segment on Dynamite and requested to be fired.

His most recent match for the company was at Double or Nothing in a losing effort to Wardlow.
