Punk regained the AEW World Championship this past Sunday and The Elite won the tournament for the World Trios Championships.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline reported that Punk suffered an injury during his match with Jon Moxley at All Out that will require surgery. Punk returned to action last month after being sidelined in June due to needing surgery.
Earlier today, Sports Illustrated pushed out a report noting that what occurred post-All Out is going to lead to a third-party investigation. It was independently confirmed by Meltzer that Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Christopher Daniels, Pat Buck, Michael Nakazawa, Ace Steel and Brandon Cutler have been suspended for their involvement in the altercation.
The report also noted that Punk would either be suspended or no longer be with the company before the end of the day.
