Robert Anthony talks Jon Moxley having to postpone his vacation and their plans so he could assist with the continuation of AEW storylines

Robert Anthony chats Jon Moxley having to hold off on vacation.

The history between Jon Moxley and Robert Anthony dates back to their time together in CZW. Most recently, Anthony made a cameo appearance at AEW All Out as Jon Moxley’s sparring partner ahead of the World Title main event against CM Punk.

This week on Dynamite, Moxley is going to be competing against Sammy Guevara in the semifinals of the ‘Grand Slam Tournament of Champions’ to determine who moves on to Dynamite Grand Slam to compete for the vacant AEW World Title.

During his segment on the 9/7 Dynamite, Moxley said he was supposed to be on vacation. On The Tyrus and Timpf Podcast, Robert Anthony said Moxley was supposed to be off for six weeks and they were planning on going fishing together.

So he’s [Jon Moxley] doing good. Man, he’s supposed to be on vacation, six weeks. We were gonna go fishing. Now he’s back to work, he’s not too happy about it but…

I enjoyed his match at the pay-per-view but, he’s pissed off and he’s back at work and he cut a hell of a promo on Wednesday and we’ll see where it goes, you know what I mean? It’s just a lot of negatives in the positives over there I feel like.

The AEW World and Trios Titles were vacated following the alleged physical altercation involving now-former AEW World Champion CM Punk and former World Trios Champions Kenny Omega, Matt and Nick Jackson.
