Solo Sikoa returns to NXT 2.0, defeats Carmelo Hayes for North American Title

Solo Sikoa made his way back to NXT 2.0 and bested Carmelo Hayes to become North American Champion

A new North American Champion has been crowned.

It was advertised that Carmelo Hayes would be defending his North American Championship on the 9/13 NXT 2.0. Answering the call was Solo Sikoa, who made his way back to NXT 2.0 and bested Hayes to become North American Champion.

Hayes was originally scheduled to defend against Wes Lee. Lee secured the title opportunity via a fan vote, but Hayes and Trick Williams ambushed him in the locker room area.

When Hayes came out to the ring for a match, he was met by Solo Sikoa.

At Clash at the Castle, Sikoa assisted Roman Reigns in retaining the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Sikoa was officially added to ‘The Bloodline’ stable on the 9/9 Friday Night SmackDown and he headlined that show in a singles match against Drew McIntyre.
