HOOK says there is pressure that comes with being Taz’s son, but he enjoys that pressure

That pressure is something that HOOK uses as motivation.

Following his successful defense of the FTW Championship on the All Out pre-show against Angelo Parker, HOOK was ambushed by ‘Daddy Magic’ Matt Menard. Parker and Menard had the numbers game on HOOK so Action Bronson got into the ring to make the save.

Bronson is the artist who created ‘The Chairman’s Intent’ theme that HOOK uses and next Wednesday, they’ll be teaming up at Rampage Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium to take on Menard and Parker.

HOOK guest appeared on episode #12 of the ‘Superstar Crossover’ podcast and touched on being acquainted with Bronson and that dates back to when HOOK was in middle school.

So, me and Action [Bronson], we’ve been friends since — I mean we’ve been acquainted since I was in middle school. We’ve been acquainted for a long time and then once I was trained to become a wrestler, we hopped in the ring, we rolled around a bit together and this was before I had debuted and he gave me clearance to use any of his music which as a lifelong fan of his was incredible and so I put a lot of thought into that. I went with ‘The Chairman’s Intent’ and yeah, then just a couple weeks ago at All Out, after my match I was jumped by Daddy Magic after winning against ‘Cool Hand’ Ang, defending my FTW Title and yeah, they jumped me and Action came in and he was an equalizer and he had my back and I think we’re looking to even things out with them.

HOOK’s father, Taz, has been able to be on commentary for HOOK’s in-ring debut along with the rest of his matches in pro wrestling. HOOK said there is pressure that comes with being Taz’s son but he enjoys that pressure.

I mean yeah, sure [HOOK responded when asked if there was pressure growing up being the son of Taz]. Of course there’s big shoes to fill. Being a second generation wrestler, there’s a lot of pressure that comes with that but, I enjoy the pressure honestly. I like pressure.
