The card for the AEW Grand Slam specials had several additions announced on Friday’s episode.

** ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli was in the ring cutting a promo when Chris Jericho, who was on commentary, interrupted.

Jericho said that he’s been a world champion seven times, and wants an eighth title. He added that he has never held the ROH World Championship and challenged Castagnoli. The champion accepted.

This match will take place on Wednesday at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam

** Eddie Kingston challenged Sammy Guevara to a match at the AEW Rampage: Grand Slam two-hour special, stating that Guevara is a “horrible, rotten human being”. Kingston added that he does not respect Guevara and he is going to “beat the piss” out of him.

Kingston and Guevara had reportedly been slated for a match at AEW All Out. However, Kingston earned a suspension after a real-life physical confrontation with Guevara backstage, delaying the match.

** Samoa Joe retained the ROH World Television Championship in a match with Josh Woods. Woods and Tony Nese attacked Joe after the match, with TNT Champion Wardlow making the save. After the brawl, a tag team match was confirmed for next week.

** Several high-profile names were announced for the Golden Ticket Battle Royale, which earns the winner a future AEW Championship shot.

Hangman Page, RUSH, and the Dark Order were confirmed for the match. Penta Oscuro was also announced via a graphic. They will join Lance Archer and Jay Lethal, among others.

** Jade Cargill will defend the TBS Championship against Diamanté at Rampage: Grand Slam. Cargill said last night that she had defeated everyone and that there was no one left for her to face. Diamanté interrupted and challenged the champion to a match, which was later confirmed.

Diamanté noted that she would be bringing with her “the baddest bitch from the 305”.

** Brody King and Buddy Matthews of the House of Black will face Sting and Darby Allin in a no-disqualification match. Sting, Allin, and Miro defeated the House of Black at AEW All Out. On Friday’s Rampage, Brody King made the challenge for a rematch.

** Ricky Starks will face Powerhouse Hobbs in another rematch from AEW All Out.

** Rey Fenix will face Jungle Boy.
