Chris Jericho is set to defend the ROH Championship for the first time this Wednesday against a former champion.
AEW’s Tony Khan announced that former ROH champion Bandido will challenge Jericho this Wednesday on Dynamite from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.

This comes one week after Jericho beat Claudio Castagnoli at Grand Slam to win the championship for the first time in his career.
Bandido won the ROH title in July 2021 at Best in the World from Rush and lost it to interim champion Jonathan Gresham at Supercard of Honor this past April in Texas.
