John Pollock is joined by WH Park for a special edition of POST Puroresu to discuss the life and legacy of Antonio Inoki.
The two discuss the historical significance of Inoki as it relates to combat sports from his upbringing in Japan and Brazil and returning to his home country under the wing of Rikidozan and joining the JWA.
Inoki founded New Japan Pro Wrestling in 1972 and engaged in a series of matches with the likes of Muhammad Ali, Willem Ruska, Willie Williams, Chuck Wepner, and Leon Spinks to build his aura.
We will look at all facets of Inoki’s career – positive and negative – and the role he played in Japanese culture
