AEW Dynamite finished second among cable originals Wednesday night for its third-anniversary episode.

The October 5th edition of Dynamite averaged 1,038,000 viewers and approximately 430,000 (0.33) in the 18-49 demographic with data from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

The audience grew 5% from last week’s episode while the 18-49 demographic dropped by 3% and was the show’s lowest performance in the key demo since August 17th.

Dynamite ranked second among cable originals on Wednesday behind Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at 0.36. Dynamite ranked first among males 18-49 and adults 18-34 and topped the college football game between SMU and UCF on ESPN 2.

In the 18-49 demo, male viewership declined by 5% while female viewership increased by 4% this week.

Adults 18-34 dropped by 6% and 35-49 was virtually flat with a 1% decrease.

The overall audience growth was aided by a 12% jump among adults 50+ from last week’s number and their largest audience in the older demo in three weeks.

In Canada, Dynamite ranked ninth among sports programming and fifth in the demo on Wednesday with 121,000 viewers and 76,400 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which are up 30% and 31% respectively from last week. Dynamite and Raw did identical viewership figures this week at 121,000, which was Raw’s lowest viewership in Canada this year.

Wednesday’s sports programming in Canada was led by the doubleheader between the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles with Dynamite also finishing behind the pre-season game between the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics.
