Bracket revealed for NJPW World Television Title tournament

The bracket for the NJPW World Television Championship tournament has been pushed out. The first champion will be crowned at WK 17

Bracket for the NJPW World TV Championship tournament.

At NJPW’s Declaration of Power show, the NJPW World Television Championship was revealed.

The tournament kicks off this Friday as a part of the ‘Battle Autumn’ tour. The semifinals are scheduled for November 5th and the first-ever champion will be crowned at Wrestle Kingdom 17.

New Japan revealed the bracket for the tourney and the first-round matches and dates are listed as followed:

  • David Finlay vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru (10/14)
  • Alex Zayne vs. Zack Sabre Jr. (10/14)
  • YOSHI-HASHI vs. Jeff Cobb (10/15)
  • Aaron Henare vs. EVIL (10/15)
  • SANADA vs. Taichi (10/16)
  • Hirooki Goto vs. KENTA (10/16)
  • Ren Narita vs. Tomohiro Ishii (10/26)
  • Toru Yano vs. Great-O-Khan (10/26)

The Battle Autumn tour concludes on November 5th. It is at that event that NEVER Openweight Champion Karl Anderson will defend against Hikuleo. Anderson along with Doc Gallows returned to WWE on 10/10. The NJPW World account retweeted posts about Anderson and Gallows going back to WWE.
