A new North American Champion is going to be crowned at Halloween Havoc. The final spot in the Ladder match for the belt was determined on the 10/11 NXT. Nathan Frazer bested Axiom in their best of three series. Frazer now joins Oro Mensah, Carmelo Hayes, Wes Lee and Von Wagner in the Ladder match field.

Tony D’Angelo made his first on-screen appearance since suffering a knee injury during his match with Wes Lee. D’Angelo approached Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo and told him to be ready for a match next week following Stacks’ loss to Lee on tonight’s program. Stacks’ opponent will be revealed while he’s waiting in the ring.

There was an update on Roderick Strong. He was in a segment with Diamond Mine’s Ivy Nile, Julius and Brutus Creed. Strong apologized to the group for bringing Damon Kemp into the fold and told Julius to secure the win at Halloween Havoc.

It was previously confirmed that ahead of their Weapons Wild match at Halloween Havoc, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade are participating in ‘Pick Your Poison’. Jade’s opponent is coming from the SmackDown brand and Perez’s opponent is coming from the Raw brand.

There was a Triple Threat tag match on the show that saw Edris Enofe and Malik Blade become number one contenders to Pretty Deadly’s NXT Tag Titles. Enofe and Blade secured the win when Cameron Grimes took out Joe Gacy on the outside and pulled Rip Fowler out of the ring which led to Jagger Reid being rolled up for a pin.

Post-match, Gacy called out Grimes and said he must face The Schism in a three-on-one match. Grimes responded by hinting that he may be bringing talents from either Raw or SmackDown to even the odds.

Sonya Deville appeared on NXT and helped Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne take out Alba Fyre, who is next in line to challenge Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Title. Deville is scheduled for next week’s NXT and she’ll be taking on Fyre one-on-one.

This show was Booker T’s first night as a commentator for NXT. While calling the match between Grayson Waller and Ilja Dragunov, Waller did a high leg kick similar to the one Booker T did. He then acted as if he was going for a ‘spinaroonie’ but gave the ‘suck it’ gesture to Booker.

Valentina Feroz asked Sanga to be in her corner for her match against Indi Hartwell. Sanga was there but he was approached by Veer who whispered something into his ear. Sanga left ringside trailing behind Veer.

Kiana James was able to get a quick victory over Chase University’s Thea Hail. Mr. Stone got in the ring and said he was going to get Hail back for body slamming him. He charged at her and she gave him a high back body drop. While Hail was focused on Stone, Kiana took her out from behind and scored the pinfall victory.

Set for 10/18 is a singles match between Quincy Elliot and Xyon Quinn.
