AEW Dynamite ranked fourth among cable originals on Wednesday against the Major League Baseball playoffs.

The October 12th edition of the show from Toronto averaged 983,000 viewers and approximately 417,000 (0.32) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

Its overall audience was down by 5% and the 18-49 demo audience fell by 3% from last week, which was the show’s lowest numbers since August 17th. In the 18-49 demo, male viewership was down by 5% and females dropped by 2%.

The show aired against Fox’s coverage of the MLB playoffs averaged 4.2 million viewers and 0.95 in the 18-49 demographic, and the game on FS 1 that topped cable with 3.1 million viewers and 0.81 in the key demo.

Dynamite trailed coverage of the NLDS game on FS 1 and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on cable.

AEW did see a spike among females 12-34, which grew 43% from last week and was its highest in that demo since Grand Slam three weeks ago.

Dynamite also saw a 6% increase among adults 18-34 while 35-49 dropped by 7% and adults 50+ declined by 4%.

In Canada, the show aired against a massive season opener between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens, which did approximately 1,518,000 viewers on Wednesday. For Dynamite’s first Canadian show, it averaged 86,800 viewers and 44,300 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2 and were their lowest figures in the country since September 14th. Dynamite ranked ninth among sports programming on Wednesday in the country, which also included another NHL game and the MLB playoffs.

TSN 2 will be airing this week’s edition of Rampage on Friday night at 11 p.m. ET (one hour after it streams on TSN Direct).
