Cheering returns as two more names advance in the NJPW World TV Championship tournament

Six of eight places in the quarterfinals are now filled after NJPW Battle Autumn event

Cheering returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling for the first time in over a month on Sunday as the NJPW World TV Championship tournament continued.

KENTA defeated Hirooki Goto, and SANADA bested Taichi at the Aore Nagaoka in Niigata.

They join David Finlay, Zack Sabre Jr., YOSHI-HASHI, and EVIL to see six of the eight quarterfinal places filled.

The last two spots in the second round will be decided on October 26th in Korakuen, when Ren Narita faces Tomohiro Ishii, and Toru Yano meets Great O-Khan.

The quarterfinal matches that are already set are: David Finlay vs. Zack Sabre Jr., YOSHI-HASHI vs. EVIL, and SANADA vs. KENTA.

Sunday’s matches took place in front of a crowd that was allowed to cheer and boo.
