Disney and AAA are collaborating to produce a wrestling show for the Disney+ platform, based around the wrestling company’s Marvel-themed Luchadores.

The announcement of ‘El Origen De La Mascara’ (‘The Origin of the Mask’) came via a video promo that aired in the Mexico City Arena during the pre-show of TripleMania XXX, Chapter 3.

AAA and Marvel comics have had a working relationship since 2020, whereby the wrestling promotion is allowed to present in-ring characters based on Marvel superheroes.

After the Marvel Lucha Libre Match, which was not part of the FITE TV stream, fans in attendance were shown a trailer for the new show, which will debut on December 21st.

There has been no announcement yet as to whether the show will be subject to regional restrictions.
