The STRONG Tag Champions issue the challenge.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is heading to New York City at the end of this month for two shows. The second of those two events is Rumble on 44th Street and a tag team challenge has been issued for that show.

The reigning NJPW STRONG Tag Champions Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) issued a challenge to Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) and Kevin Knight and The DKC.

Fletcher and Davis brought up that Knight and DKC have been expressing that they want a shot at the titles but one team is ahead of them and that is M.C.M.G. who defeated Aussie Open on the 9/22 episode of IMPACT on AXS. They then offered to put the belts on the line in a three-way tag at the October 28th show.

The day prior to the October 28th event is ‘The Night Before Rumble on 44th Street’ which is going to be a mystery card. Below is the updated lineup for the 10/28 show:

  • Kazuchika Okada & Eddie Kingston vs. Jay White & Juice Robinson
  • KOPW Trophy: Shingo Takagi (c) vs. El Phantasmo
  • NJPW STRONG Tag Team Championships — Three Way Match: Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) (c) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Kevin Knight & The D.K.C.
