WWE Raw notes: Baron Corbin aligned with JBL, Rollins retains U.S. Title, Dominik pins Styles

Baron Corbin is on Raw and aligned with JBL, Seth Rollins remains U.S. Champion, Dominik Mysterio pins AJ Styles, Elias is back, Damage CTRL

As a result of Rey Mysterio being moved over to the SmackDown brand, Baron Corbin is now on Raw. He returned to the brand alongside WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield. Corbin was in singles action and defeated Dolph Ziggler.

Headlining the program was a United States Championship match. Seth Rollins retained over Matt Riddle. Elias was on the outside of the ring as he was planning to play a song before Riddle versus Rollins took place. Rollins’ back and forth with Elias on the outside led to Elias getting in the ring and accidentally giving Seth the advantage.

After Seth retained, he delivered a ‘Curb Stomp’ to Elias and was going to give one to Riddle but Mustafa Ali prevented him from doing so. Earlier in the show, Ali made it clear that he wants to challenge Seth for the belt.

The Miz versus Dexter Lumis was supposed to take place. If Lumis won, he would earn a WWE contract and if he lost, he would have to leave WWE. Miz attacked Lumis with a chair beforehand and the match did not take place. Miz was made fun of by Johnny Gargano throughout the show for avoiding Lumis.

Due to a distraction from Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio scored a pin fall victory over AJ Styles.

Scheduled for the 10/24 Raw is a non-title match between Bayley and Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. The two brawled during Belair’s tag match which caused her and Candice LeRae to lose to Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and IYO SKY.

Omos along with MVP are appearing on the 10/21 Friday Night SmackDown in Toledo, Ohio.
