The ROH owner provides an update on the plan for a weekly show.

Ring of Honor continues to be highlighted on AEW’s weekly programming and on tonight’s Dynamite, ROH World Champion Chris Jericho will have his second title defense in two weeks.

As the news broke that Jericho signed a contract extension with AEW, Tony Khan’s interview with Sports Illustrated was pushed out. He spoke about Ring of Honor and said his goal is to have one more pay-per-view in 2022 and then follow that up with weekly TV in 2023.

We’ll have great news soon about Ring of Honor weekly shows. The success of Death Before Dishonor on pay-per-view has ensured there will be more Ring of Honor pay-per-views. Our goal is to have one more great pay-per-view for Ring of Honor in 2022 and then follow that up with a weekly show in 2023.

The last standalone Ring of Honor event was this past July at Death Before Dishonor. That show was headlined by FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) versus The Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe) and was opened by Claudio Castagnoli defeating Jonathan Gresham for the ROH World Championship.
