Tommaso Ciampa has undergone surgery following an issue with his hip labrum.
Ciampa has been off television for several weeks and it was brought up by Johnny Gargano on Raw this past Monday that the performer is injured.
Ciampa confirmed the injury on Wednesday adding that he recently underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, and is on the road to recovery. This comes after he stated he had been dealing with pain in his glute, back, and sacroiliac joint.

Ciampa, 37, last wrestled on September 17th against Bobby Lashley on a WWE live event, and was his only match that month.
He did not state what the timetable is for a return to the ring.
