AEW Dynamite returned to its regular night and posted comparable numbers from two weeks ago on Wednesday night.
The October 26th edition of Dynamite from Norfolk averaged 997,000 viewers and approximately 417,000 (0.32) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.
The show ranked #5 among cable originals behind two NBA games, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and SportsCenter on ESPN. Dynamite ranked ahead of Tucker Carlson on Fox News, and MTV’s The Challenge.
Last week, Dynamite aired on Tuesday night and averaged 752,000 viewers and 0.26 in 18-49. For a fair comparison, we are going to use the numbers from two weeks ago to compare with the last Wednesday edition of Dynamite.
There was very little movement from two weeks ago with overall viewership up 1% and 18-49 growing by the same percentage. The only notable fluctuations were among the 12-34 demo where females dropped by 17.5% and males grew by 9.5%. This week’s 50+ demo was up 5% at 0.46.
Dynamite aired head-to-head with the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Brooklyn Nets game that averaged 1.8 million viewers and 0.64 in the 18-49 finishing #2 among cable originals as well as Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (1.45 million and 0.40) and The Challenge (490,000 and 0.23). This week’s show had the advantage of avoiding the MLB playoffs.
Excluding the episode that aired on Tuesday night, Dynamite averaged 1,006,000 viewers and 419,000 in 18-49 for the month of October. Those figures are down from an average of 1,060,000 and 475,000 in September. However, October has coincided with the return of the NBA and the MLB playoffs.
In Canada, Dynamite averaged approximately 106,000 viewers and 41,000 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which is their largest Canadian viewership since October 5th.
