Pro Wrestling NOAH holds a major event this Sunday headlined by a title defense by Kaito Kiyomiya and the continuation of Keiji Muto’s farewell tour.
NOAH will stage its show this Sunday from the Ariake Arena in Tokyo and will be streaming live on Wrestle Universe at 3 a.m. ET.
In the main event, Kaito Kiyomiya will make the first defense of the GHC championship since winning the title from Kenoh last month in Nagoya.
The two-time champion will defend the title against Kazuyuki Fujita.
Kiyomiya earned the title shot against Kenoh after winning this year’s N-1 Victory tournament with a win against Hideki Suzuki in the final.
Keiji Muto’s farewell tour continues with a six-man tag teaming with Naomichi Marufuji & Yoshiki Inamura against New Japan’s Hiroshi Tanahashi, Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma.
Muto appeared on a New Japan card earlier this week at Korakuen Hall where he blew mist into the face of Great O-Khan and allowed Toru Yano to score the win over O-Khan. The angle led to a match announcement where Muto will team with Yano & Kazuchika Okada against O-Khan, Aaron Henare & Jeff Cobb on November 20th at the Historic X-Over event.
Muto’s farewell tour will continue with matches on January 22nd, 2023 at Yokohama Arena and his final match taking place at the Tokyo Dome on February 21st.
Sunday’s show will feature five title matches including a GHC National Championship match as Masakatsu Funaki defends the title against Kazushi Sakuraba. In 2007, the two fought on the K-1 Dynamite event on New Year’s Eve in Osaka where Sakuraba submitted Funaki with a kimura and aired nationally on TBS in Japan.
