Cody Rhodes has said that he had no issues with CM Punk in AEW, nor with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.

The 37-year-old, who is currently rehabbing a severe pectoral tear, made the comments in response to a fan who seemed to imply that personality clashes may have led to his move to WWE.

A photograph of Rhodes with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks was posted by a fan on Saturday to Twitter with the caption, “They Changed The World.” In response, another fan asked, “Why did Cody leave?”

Using his verified account, Rhodes responded by stating that he did not leave because of the Young Bucks or Kenny. He added that he did not leave because of — or have issues with — CM Punk, saying that they got along.

Finally, he said that the move to WWE was not prompted by money or booking, but was a personal decision to “go for the big one.”

For their part, the Young Bucks quote-tweeted Cody’s message with a photograph of themselves with Rhodes and Omega with their arms around one another.

Rhodes sustained a complete pectoral tear during weight training ahead of his match with Seth Rollins at June’s Hell in a Cell premium live event.

Last month, he told TMZ that he had no fixed timeline for a return, but it would be “hopefully soon.”
