NJPW: Rumble on 44th Street (10/28) – Palladium Times Square, NYC, NY

This week’s installment of Dream Slam Weekly comes to you live from the Newark Liberty International Airport area. I am in the lobby of my hotel, enjoying a quiet Saturday afternoon. I headed to NYC for both The Night Before & Rumble on 44th Street. I had a good time visiting old haunts in the city and eating some darned good ramen. The biggest reason I chose to go to the show was the announcement of STARDOM talent. I was very happy to see Mayu Iwatani wrestle live for the first time since January 4, 2020, and to experience COSMIC ANGELS’ Mina Shirakawa and Waka Tsukiyama for the first time as well. It had been a while since I had seen Kylie Rae wrestle, and I was pleasantly surprised by Tiara James and KiLynn King as well.

Match of the Week: Jungle Kyona debuts in AEW

Since September, Jungle Kyona has been tearing it up on the US Independent scene in her first big excursion as a freelance wrestler. She and Riho are familiar with one another from Riho’s time in STARDOM. I love that Jungle has been able to maximize her time in the United States, including making her AEW Dark debut. I just wish that with a twenty minute time limit, this match was longer than five minutes.
